Corrections Policy
Amberaisle aims to be accurate, and to be visibly accurate. When we get something wrong, we fix it openly.
Reporting an error
Email [CONTACT EMAIL TBC] or use the Contact page. Please include:
- The article title or URL
- The statement you believe is wrong
- If you have one, a source we can check it against
What we do
- We check. The claim is verified against primary or authoritative sources.
- We correct. If the report is right, the article is corrected as promptly as we reasonably can.
- We note significant corrections. Where a correction changes a conclusion, a figure, a date, or advice a reader might have acted on, a dated note is added to the article itself (for example: “Correction, [date]: an earlier version of this article stated…”). Minor typos and formatting fixes are made without a note.
- We update the date. The article’s “last updated” date reflects the correction.
What we do not do
- We do not silently rewrite history: significant changes are never made invisibly.
- We do not remove an article merely because it is criticised — but we will correct, update, or withdraw an article that is substantially wrong, and note that we have done so.
Disagreements
If you disagree with an interpretation rather than a fact, we are still glad to hear it via the Contact page. Well-sourced feedback regularly improves articles, and improvements are credited through the same update process above.
